My story

I'm Jesica, a Licensed Health Psychologist (Psicóloga General Sanitaria) specialising in Perinatal Psychology.

For over a decade I have supported people through delicate moments in their lives, with twelve years of experience between the United Kingdom and the United States alongside older adults and family caregivers. It was motherhood, however, that completely transformed the way I understand emotional care.

When I became a mother in 2021, I discovered that pregnancy and the postpartum period are not always lived the way we imagine. Later, during my second pregnancy, signs began to appear that something wasn't right with the baby. They were months of uncertainty, waiting, and fear, in which I myself needed psychological support.

That experience changed the way I see perinatal support. I understood from the inside how important it is to feel held, understood, and accompanied in moments of such vulnerability.

Today, part of my work is born from that too: from offering other women the space that can sometimes be hard to find when something isn't going as you expected.

My background

  • Advanced University Programme in Attachment and Perinatal Psychology, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR)
  • Master's in General Health Psychology, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR)
  • Master's in Cognitive Rehabilitation, University of Westminster
  • Degree in Psychology, Universitat de Barcelona

How I work

I work from an integrative, close, person-centred perspective. For me, every woman has her own story, context, and unique way of living what is happening to her. That's why I don't believe in rigid formulas or in telling you how you should feel.

I integrate evidence-based tools: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts and patterns; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and distress tolerance; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to make room for difficult experiences while acting in line with what matters to you. I adapt them to your needs and to where you are in your life.

My goal is to offer you a safe space where you can understand what's happening to you, feel supported without judgement, and learn tools that make a real impact on your day-to-day.

I especially support women who feel that their pregnancy, motherhood, or postpartum aren't going the way they imagined. Because when something isn't going as you expected, you also need a place where you can feel held.
